Beyond the evidence: Building universal childhood services from the ground up
Pauline McGregor Keynote Address - Tim Moore
In the inaugural Pauline McGregor Memorial Address given at ECIA’s 7th National Conference in Adelaide in 2004, Christine Johnston spoke of
‘robust hope’, and how we might find a home for early childhood intervention in the changing early years landscape. This paper expands upon that theme, making
the case that the future for early childhood intervention services lies in being part of a collective effort to build a universal early childhood service system
from the ground up...

ECIA(VC) Developing Outcomes in Early Childhood Intervention Services:
the process so far
An Outcome Statement is a 'clear statement of intent' listing the impacts and changes that are expected as a result of assessing a service. If parents and professionals are clear about what services are aiming to achieve, there is more chance of designing and implementing successful programs and activities that result in those outcomes. This clarity can result in a better use of resources, as well as greater consistency and accountability in the sector.

Moving Towards Outcomes in Early Childhood Intervention
Part 4: How do we do this? - October 2005
Evolution of Early Childhood Intervention Practice
In its relative short history, the field of early childhood intervention has evolved rapidly and a number of well-documented trends have become evident. In response to social change and service developments, the field has continued to evolve and a number of emerging trends can also be identified. This paper documents these two types of evolutionary trends in service delivery.

The Way We Were
Reflections on changes to Broad Insight Group's ECI Services
Since the Broad Insight Group (BIG) Model of service delivery changed in 2001, many questions have been asked about our services by others in the ECI sector. These questions usually focus on "just what happened?" The whole story is a long one but this paper attempts to capture, ever so briefly, the major differences in past and present models of service delivery.

Evaluating Service Outcomes: How do we know if our services are effective?
The rationale for evaluating outcomes is clear. If we do not evaluate the outcomes our services produce, then we will be unable to judge the efficacy of the service we provide, and are likely to persist with approaches and goals that are not achieving anything.
