Early Childhood Intervention Awareness Week Chronicles
Early Childhood Intervention Awareness Week
12th - 20th August, 2006
National Early Childhood Intervention Awareness Week is an opportunity to promote knowledge regarding services and needs in the early childhood intervention field and is also an opportunity to celebrate achievements. This year ECIA(VC) activities included the Manager's Network meeting, a one day mini conference and Kites for Special Kids day. Individual agencies also organised their own activities - kite flying, morning teas and open days. Resources to assist agencies plan events and promote ECI are provided below - consider them in planning for National ECI Awareness week in 2007.

Kites for Special Kids Sunday 20th August 2006
While the weather has been unpredictable in past years, this years day was clear and sunny. Promotion within the ECI Network and with local agencies resulted in a high attendance. Over 80 people attended and enjoyed making kites, flying kites, the jumping castle, clown and picnic at Royal Park, Parkville.
