Early Childhood Intervention Practitioner Competencies

In 2009, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development funded ECIA (VC) to develop a statement of competencies for early childhood intervention workers in Victoria. Andrew Hollo from Workwell Consultants was engaged to manage this project which is now complete. A copy of the final ECI Statement of Competencies, as well as the Literature Review and “Potential Applications” can be found below.

Thank you to all the ECI practitioners who provided input into the project through focus groups the on-line survey and to the Steering Group for their time and expertise. Thanks also to DEECD for providing the funding to enable this important document to be developed. Further information will be provided in the near future regarding the implementation and application of the Competencies Statement.
